MRS. J.P. SISSON PASSES AWAY
The Angel of Death visited the Sisson home last Saturday
morning and took from our midst one of our most esteemed citizens, a devoted
wife and loving mother.
Hannah Louisa Vanderpool was born in Stephenson county,
Ill., June 2, 1857, and was united in marriage to J.P. Sisson of that place
May 1, 1879.
In 1804 the Sisson family moved to White Salmon where
they have since made their home.
The deceased leaves a husband, J.P. Sisson, two sons,
Charles and Edward, and two grand-children, all of White Salmon, a brother,
Wm. Vanderpool, of Port Arthur, and two sisters, Mrs. J.W. Henry and Mrs.
J.W. Shadle, of Camas, Wash., besides the hosts of friends who mourn her
loss.
She was a member of the United Brethern, having joined
that church when she was about 18 years old.
