Helen Baker, aged 17 years, died Monday at home of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Baker of Locke Hill. Appendicitis was the cause
of her death. Besides her mother and father she leaves five brothers and
one sister. Her brother George is traveling in Europe. Raymond and Theodore
reside in Illinois, Ralph is attending Northwestern University at Evanston,
Illinois and, and Gordon and Dora are living at home.
Helen May Baker was born Oct. 1, 1907. She was to have
been married on February 14 to Charles Trumbull. She was loved by all who
knew her, always kind and considerate to those around her.
The funeral, held at the home Wednesday, was largely
attended. Rev. Young of the Methodist Church had charge of the services.
The remains were laid to rest in the local I.O.O.F. cemetery. The floral
offerings were many and wonderful.
