HAZEL M. MOON
Hazel M. Moon of BZ Corners died Sunday at home. She
was 69.
Mrs. Moon was born April 4, 1923 in Fairplay, Mo. to
Bertha Mabel (Martin) and James Albert Phillips. She grew up in Missouri,
married Jess in 1937 and moved to Visalia, Calif. In 1945, she moved to Yakima
Valley then to Klickitat and Appleton in 1947.
For 15 years she lived in Glendale, Ore. before returning
to the White Salmon area in 1963. She was a member of Worldwide Church of
God in Hood River. She liked to work on puzzles and crochet and embroider.
She is survived by her husband, Jess of BZ Corners; son,
Louis Earl Moon of Oakridge; brothers, Carl Phillips of Redmond, Ore., Harley
Phillips of Oakridge, Connie Phillips of Visalia, Calif., and Earl Phillips
of Oakridge; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by daughter, May and two brothers.
Funeral services were held Thursday (today) at Gardner
Funeral Home in White Salmon at 11 a.m. Pastor Davis and Pastor Lillengreen
officiating. Burial followed at Appleton Cemetery.
