HOWARD HYLTON
Howard Leland Hylton, White Salmon, died April 1, 1995, in Hood River,
at the age of 85.
Mr. Hylton was born June 15, 1909, in Goldendale to Vera (Clark) and John
Adam Hylton. He was a member of the first graduating class at Trout Lake High
School in 1927. He married Betty Worley on Oct. 27, 1935, in Vancouver. He was a
member of the Elks for more than 25 years and the Grange for 50 years. He worked
as a mechanic in Klickitat County for most of his life.
Mr. Hylton is survived by his wife, Betty, White Salmon; sons David Hylton,
Trout Lake, and Douglas Hylton, Packwood; daughter Jean Heyne, Portland;
numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Hylton were held Wednesday, April 5, 1995, at 2
p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon, with Rev. Ron Halverson
officiating. Interment was at White Salmon Cemetery.
Gardner Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
