H.P. AUSTIN BURIED IN I.O.O.F CEMETERY SUNDAY
The funeral of the late H.P. Austin, who died at Red
Bluff, Calif. on Wednesday evening of last week, was held in this city Sunday
at 2 p.m. at the Congregational church. Rev. Derby officiated. Gardner's
Service had charge of the funeral. The remains were laid to rest in the Odd
Fellows Cemetery.
Mr. Austin was born in Stockton, Calif. on December 17,
1869. He was married to Miss Romunstad in Great Falls Mont. and eleven years
ago they moved to White Salmon where they have resided since, until last
fall when they went to Red Bluff, Calif. for his health. He had been ill
for two years and the last six weeks before his death, had been in the hospital.
The body was brought here Saturday. Deceased is survived by his widow.
Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Stauffer, of Red Bluff, Calif. accompanied
her sister, Mrs. H.P. Austin home for the funeral. They returned home Monday.
