HERMAN KUHNHAUSEN
Herman Roger Kuhnhausen, a 57-year-old White Salmon resident,
died at Skyline Hospital in White Salmon on Jan. 3, 1987.
Mr. Kuhnhausen was born May 30, 1929, in Glenwood, to
Herman and Carrie (Carter) Kuhnhausen. He married Violet Fales in Florence,
Ore., on Feb. 26, 1949. They lived in Glenwood until nine years ago when
he made maintenance supervisor at SDS and they moved to Northwestern Lake.
He worked as a logger, construction worker and farmed as a hobby during his
life. He was a private pilot and flew to Alaska twice. He enjoyed fishing,
traveling and being with his family. He was a member of the Glenwood Grange.
He is survived by his wife, Violet, White Salmon; parents,
Herman and Carrie Kuhnhausen, Glenwood; children, Herman Lewis, Milford,
Kan., Roger Thomas, Glenwood, Earl Wayne, Bingen, and Donald Lowell, Mosier;
brother, Harold D. Kuhnhausen, Polson, Mont.; sisters, Ruth Danielson, Othello,
and Evelyn Skarr, Stevenson; and five grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 7, 1987, at Pioneer Memorial
Community Church in Glenwood. Interment will be in the Mt. Adams Cemetery,
Glenwood.
