"News From Lyle"
Raymond Smelcer, sixteen-year old member of the Lyle school and well known for his goodness passed away on Thursday night, October 2, after two weeks illness of typhoid fever. He is survived by a mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Smelcer, four brothers, Edward, Carl, Delbert and Glen and a sister, Erma. Funeral services were held in the Lyle church. The body was laid to rest in the Balch cemetery. Many relatives and friends attended the funeral and sent beautiful flowers. Everyone extends their sympathy to the bereaved family.
