HAZEL SPENCE
Hazel Kuneki Spence, of Bingen, died Nov. 11, 1996, in
The Dalles, Ore., at the age of 54.
Graveside services for Mrs. Spence will be held today,
Nov. 14, 1996, at the Indian Cemetery in Husum.
A full obituary for Mrs. Spence will appear in next week's
paper.
Gardner Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

HAZEL SPENCE
Hazel Kuneki Spence, a Bingen resident, died Nov. 11,
1996, in the Dalles, Ore., at the age of 54.
Mrs. Spence was born Nov. 23, 1996, in Husum, to Elsie
(Thomas) and Silas Kuneki. She was raised in the White Salmon area and married
Thomas Spence in Bingen in August 1966.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter
Day Saints, White Salmon Ward. She loved to pick huckleberries, can food
and do bead work. She also loved to travel and saw much of the United States
with her husband.
Mrs. Spence is survived by her husband, Tom, Bingen;
mother Elsie Thomas Kuneki, Bingen; daughter Elsa Spence, Bingen; sister
Patricia Bly, Bingen; brother Leonard Kuneki, Bingen; great aunt Marie Albert,
White Swan; cousin Sally Thomas, Husum; and nieces Linda Robert, Georgia,
Julia Leslie, Toppenish, Angela Clark, Vancouver, and Samantha London, Moreno,
Calif.
Graveside services for Mrs. Spence were held on Nov.
14, 1996, at 7 a.m. at the Indian Cemetery in Husum, with Bishop Kenneth
Steinfeldt officiating.
Gardner funeral home was in charge of the arrangements.
