HERREL C. THROOP
Herrel C. Throop, a long-time resident of Glenwood, died
Sunday in Goldendale. He was 88.
Mr. Throop was born Sept. 23, 1892, in Vernonia, Ore.,
to Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Throop. He came to Glenwood in 1944, and lived as a
rancher until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle, of Glenwood; four
sons, Edwin Throop of Portland, Harold L. Throop of Joseph, Ore., Herrel
R. Throop of Port Angeles and Gerald L. Throop of Glenwood; three daughters,
Dorcas Houghton of Springfield, Ore., Katherine Steinbach of Glenwood and
Geraldine Louise Long of Gresham, Ore.; a sister, Dora Jordan of Portland;
28 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by
two children, Anna May Throop and Lloyd C. Throop.
Funeral services for Mr. Throop were held Wednesday at
the Community Church in Glenwood. Interment was in Mt. Adams Cemetery in
Glenwood.

Herrel C. Throop of Glenwood, passed away August 16,
in Goldendale. The retired rancher was born September 23, 1892 in Vernonia,
Oregon.
He was preceded in death by two children, Anna May Throop
and Lloyd C. Throop.
Throop is survived by his wife Myrtle; children Edwin
Throop of Portland, Dorcas Houghton of Springfield, Oregon, Harold L. Throop
of Joseph, Oregon, Katherine Steinbach of Glenwood, Herrel R. Throop of Port
Angeles, Washington, and Gerald Throop of Glenwood and Geraldine Long of
Gresham; one sister Dora Jordan of Portland; 28 grandchildren and 25 great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held, August 19 at the Glenwood
Community Church with interment at Mt. Adams Cemetery in Glenwood.
