CRANE
Former Goldendale resident Iva Alene Crane died Friday,
Aug. 25 in Pocatello, Idaho at the age of 79.
She was born Jan. 15, 1910, in Centerville to S. Herman
and Briita Lehto. She attended schools there, graduating from Centerville
High School, and married John Hill in Centerville in 1929. He preceded her
in death. Iva and Ira Crane were married in 1942 and he passed away in 1957.
She was employed in a Goldendale floral shop and later
as a dietary technician at the Catholic hospital in Bend, Ore., before retiring.
Iva Crane was a member of the Finnish Lutheran Church in Centerville and
enjoy reading. She is survived by three sons; John Hill of Seattle, Lewis
Hill of Colville and Dennis Hill of Pocatello; six grandchildren and ten
half brothers and sisters, including August Lehto of Longview.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Sept. 2, at
11 a.m. in the chapel of Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home. Interment will be in
the Centerville Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with family members
at the chapel from 10 a.m. until service time.
