MRS. BENNETT DEAD

     Mrs. L.P. Bennett died January 1, 1916, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.C. Patterson, of this city at the age of 84 years and six months. She had been sick about a month. She was born in New York state and had lived here about eight years. The funeral was held at two o'clock Monday. Her husband died a number of years ago. She leaves six children to mourn her loss; -- Mrs. J.C. Patterson of this city; R. C. Bennett of Grass Valley, Ore.; W.H. Bennett of Kent, Ore.; F.L. Bennett of The Dalles, Ore.; M.H. Bennett of Stansfield, Ore., and Mrs. O.C. Hogue of Kent, Ore.
