TROUT LAKE PIONEER PASSES MONDAY, DEC. 13

     Iver Wang, 87 years old, passed away Monday, December 13.
     Iver Wang was born on February 2, 1861 in Vaage, Norway. He came to America in 1880 and settled in Wisconsin. He was married on July 6th, 1887 to Anna Peterson of Black River Falls, Wisconsin. They came west in 1900 and made their home in Trout Lake, later in 1920 they moved to White Salmon.
     His wife passed away July 23, 1941. Surviving are his eight children: Bertha Hall and Cora McHan of White Salmon; Palmer Wang of Trout Lake; Julius Wang of Bellingham; Jessie Morast of The Dalles, Alfred Wang of Orient, Wash., Ruby Partin of New Pine Creek, Oregon and Irene Begin of Aniak, Alaska.
     Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 16th, at Gardner's Funeral Home with Rev. Fish officiating. Committal services followed in the IOOF cemetery in White Salmon.

IVER WANG

     Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Gardner Funeral Chapel for Iver Wang, who died Monday, December 13 after an extended illness. Officiating was Rev. Fish of Odell with committal being at the Oddfellows Cemetery in White Salmon.
     Iver Wang was born February 2, 1861 in Vaage, Norway. He came to America in 1880 and settled in Wisconsin. He was married on July 6, 1887 to Anna Peterson of Black River Falls, Wisconsin, and in 1900 came west to make his home in Trout Lake. In 1920 he moved to White Salmon.
     Mrs. Wang passed away July 23, 1941.
     Surviving are 8 children: Bertha Hall, Cora McHan of White Salmon, Palmer Wang of Trout Lake, Jesse Morast of The Dalles, Julius Wang of Bellingham, Alfred Wang of Orient, Wash., Ruby Paston of New Pine Creek, Ore., Irene Begin of Aniak, Alaska.

"Trout Lake Valley News"

     Iver C. Wang, a pioneer in the Trout Lake valley, passed away at his home in White Salmon Monday afternoon. He came to this valley 47 years ago and took up a homestead and raised a family of eight. In 1920 he moved to White Salmon. He was 87 years old at the time of his death. The funeral will be at 2 o'clock Thursday with burial in White Salmon.
