ATKINS
Ida L. Atkins of Goldendale, born June 19, 1908 in Iowa
and to John and Mabel Pringle, passed away here April 22.
She moved with her family to the Granger area, attended
school in Orchardville and high school in Granger, and lived in the Lower
Valley for many years.
Shortly after she moved to Goldendale, she was married
to Charles Atkins, who preceded her in death in 1980.
Mrs. Atkins was a member of the First Baptist Church
of Goldendale, and was active in the Senior Citizens.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn Meldrich of Hoquiam;
a sister, Alice Christiansen of Yakima; and six grandchildren and many
great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 25 at 2 p.m.
at Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home, Pastor Herb Evans officiating. Burial followed
in the Spring Creek Cemetery under Knosher-Erdman direction.
