IDA MAE ACKLEY

     Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 7, at Gardner Funeral Home for Ida May Ackley, 83, of Bingen, who died at her home Saturday, March 31. Burial will follow at White Salmon Cemetery.
     She was born Feb. 13, 1907, in White Salmon to Charlotte S. (Myers) and Adelbert Smalley and was raised here. She married Claude C. Ackley in 1926, who preceded her in death in 1974.
     Mrs. Ackley enjoyed all kinds of handiwork. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and Senior Citizens.
     She is survived by sons Earl Ackley of Hood River, Ore., Delbert Ackley of Eugene, Ore., and Lee Ackley of Carson; 16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
     Saturday's service begins at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dave Ness officiating. Memorials in Mrs. Ackley's name many be given to Senior Citizens, White Salmon.
