TWO KILLED IN ACCIDENT
Foster Road Site Of crash
A man and wife died in a head-on collision about 3:50
p.m. Thursday on SE Foster road, near 131st Avenue. Dead on arrival at Gresham
General Hospital was Irma Mae Johnson, 60, of Rt. 2, Box 711, Boring. The
husband, Chafin Johnson, 68, died in the hospital about 7:30 p.m.
Multnomah County sheriff's deputies said the driver of
the second car, Clifford Hall Jr., 42, of 7912 SE Harney St., apparently
lost control of his car and veered into the on-coming lane, striking the
Johnson vehicle.
Hall was in serious condition in Woodland Park Hospital.
