ADA TUTHILL RITES HELD HERE ON NOV. 10TH
Ida May Aylor was born in Carterville, Mo., September
16, 1892, one of a family of ten. They moved to Texas when she was four years
old. At the age of thirteen her path crossed that of her future husband,
Henry G. Tuthill, a young Gospel minister. They met again four years later
and were married Christmas Eve of 1910. To this union were born ten children,
four boys and six girls.
Through the years their residence changed several times
from Los Angeles to Texas and in 1931 moved to Wahkiakus, Washington and
then to Lyle in 1932.
Ida Tuthill was preceded in death by her husband in 1960
and is survived by all ten of their children.
Six daughters: Bessie Ruth Thompson of Kirkland, Wa.;
Gladys Marie Hutchinson of Prineville, Or.; Ida May Webber of Davenport,
Wa.; Roberta Neil Tuthill of Montebello, Ca.; Viola Elizabeth Sullivan of
White Salmon, Wa.; Marian Beatrice Teckenberg of Beaverton, Or.
Four sons: Frank Aylette Tuthill of Lyle, Wa.; Philip
Ellison Tuthill of Lyle, Wa.; Henry Garfield Tuthill Jr. of Bloomington,
Ca.; Richard Daniel Tuthill of Newhall, Ca.
Twenty-six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A brother, Felix Kerrick Aylor of Orchard, Texas and three sisters: Gladys
Wooster of Alvin, Texas; Ruth A. Campbell of Los Angeles, Ca.; Rose Johnson
of Goldthwaite, Texas. Funeral services
were held at Gardner's Funeral Home November 10th at 2:00 p.m.
Interment was at the Lyle Cemetery at Lyle, Washington
with Rev. Clarence Myers of the Bingen Assembly of God Church officiating.
