IMOGENE WALKER
Imogene Millie Walker, a former Bingen resident, died
Sunday, Dec. 4, 1999, at her home in Renton, at the age of 86. She lived
there with her daughter-in-law Linda Walker.
Mrs. Walker was born on Sept. 16, 1913, in Granby, Mo.,
to Frank and Anna (Wood) Cole. She married Lawrence Walker in Pineville,
Mo., on March 27, 1931. They moved to the area in 1936 and made their home
in Bingen. Mr. Walker died in January 1979.
Mrs. Walker was a kind and gentle woman who devoted her
life to her family. Doing things for her family was her greatest joy. She
also loved to cook and sew.
She is survived by her son Herb Walker, Husum; daughters
Margret Arnold, Keller, Barbara Hollamon, Hood River, Ore., and Linda Dillon,
Beaverton, Ore.; brother Ray Cole, Newton, Iowa; 18 grandchildren, numerous
great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence; sons
Robert Clinton and William Everett; grandsons Jack and Michael; great-grandson
Christopher; and two brothers and three sisters.
A graveside service for Mrs. Walker was held on Dec.
8, 1999, at the White Salmon Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Gardner Funeral Home of
White Salmon.
