IVA YEACKEL

Ive M. Yeackel was born August 20, 1887 at Maryhill to Sylvanyus and Sara Childers, and died at The Dalles November 7, 1973 at the age of 86.
At an early age she moved with her parents to the Centerville area and attended school in Centerville and The Dalles.
She was married to Frederick Yeackel January 12, 1907. They moved on the family farm until about 1942, later moving into town.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1957, and a daughter Esther in 1970. She had been a member of the Centerville Grange for over 50 years.
She is survived by one son, Wilbur of Glenwood, 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Knosher Funeral Home with the Rev. David Fisher officiating.
Pallbearers were Allen Jackson, Bob Frarrell, Buster Farrell, Keith Kayser, Lyle Schilling and Vincent Jussila. Honorary pallbearers were Bud Ritzschke, Ted Carratt, Tom Carratt, Homer Babcock and Edwin Eaton. Interment was in the Centerville Cemetery.
