FORMER UNDERWOOD RESIDENT PASSES

     Ira R. Ziegler, prominent Underwood district rancher for many years died Tuesday, March 21 in the Vancouver Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
     Mr. Ziegler had not lived at Underwood for several years. He was a former member of the Board of County Commissioners and had served as chairman in 1930.
     Funeral services were held last Friday at 10:30 o'clock in the Vancouver Funeral Chapel, followed by graveside services at the White Salmon Cemetery at 2:30 o'clock.

ZIEGLER -- March 21, 1950, at Vancouver Memorial Hospital. Israel R. Ziegler of 410 West 31st, Vancouver, aged 68 years. Vancouver resident past 3 years; prior in Underwood, Wash., since 1903. Survived by his wife, Jesse Ziegler, Vancouver; 2 sons, Reno and Le Roy Ziegler, both of Underwood, Wash.; and four daughters, Mrs. Eva Frazer, Underwood, Mrs. Mamie Harris, Winchester Bay, Ore., Mrs. Myrtle Hammond, Yucaipa, Calif., and Mrs. Esther Browe, Barsto, Calif.; 4 brothers, Aaron Ziegler, Allen, John and William __bble, and 1 step-sister, Mrs. Leah Bal__ough, all in Pennsylvania; 18 grandchildren. Born October 18, 1881, at Pennsylvania. Member of Woodmen of The World; and The Church of the Brethern in Portland, Ore. The remains have been entrusted to the care of the Vancouver Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 24, 1950, at Vancouver Funeral Chapel. Rev. David Holl will officiate, and final interment will be in the I.O.O.F cemetery in White Salmon, Wash.

I.R. ZEIGLER, FORMER RESIDENT CALLED

     Mr. I.R. Ziegler, long time resident of the Skamania county passed away in Vancouver Tuesday morning after four years of illness.
     Funeral services will be Friday March 24, at the Vancouver Funeral Chapel, at 10:30 a.m. with grave side services in the White Salmon Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
     Mr. Ziegler came to Underwood in 1903 where he made his home until he was forced to leave because of illness in 1946. He will be remembered with respect by all who knew him.
