IVA PHELPS
Iva Sarah Phelps, a resident of White Salmon since 1944,
died at her home on May 26, 2000, at the age of 64.
Mrs. Phelps was born in Ava, Mo., on Feb. 20, 1936, to
Lula Bell (Deckard) and James Richard Nave. She grew up in the White Salmon
area. She married Walter Lee Phelps in 1955 in Bingen.
She loved to cook, garden, sew, make quilts, camp, go
to the beach, work with flowers, take care of her family and worship Jesus.
Mrs. Phelps is survived by her sister Carol Callihan,
White Salmon: daughter Katherine McLoud, White Salmon: sons Curtis and Leslie
Phelps. White Salmon, and Kim Phelps, Amboy: granddaughters Maria Kock, Danielle
Phelps and Emmy Foster: grandsons Jason Phelps, Matthew Phelps and Tanner
Phelps: and great-grandchildren Donovan, Skyler and Kaylin. She was preceded
in death by her parents, husband Walter, and sisters Myrtle Spring and Louise
Kuhnhausen.
Services for Mrs. Phelps will be held Thursday, June
1, 2000, at 11 a.m. at the Grace Baptist Church in White Salmon, with Pastor
Dan Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow at White Salmon Cemetery.
