ISABELLE BOND DIES IN OREGON

     Isabelle Underwood Bond, a link with Skamania County history, died in St. Helens, Oregon, Friday, March 16, at the age of 74. Mrs. Bond was born March 14, 1905, in Underwood, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Underwood of the family for which the community was named.
     She and her husband, Joseph Bond, had lived in Vernonia, Oregon, for the past 10 years.
     Besides her husband, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A niece, Mrs. Ellen Card of Hood River, officiated at graveside rites at the historic Chris-Zada Cemetery in Underwood where other members of the Underwood family are interred.
     The services were held Monday, March 19. Gardner's Funeral home of White Salmon was in charge of arrangements.
