DEATH SUMMONS JOSEPHINE BERRY
Funeral services for Mrs. Robert (Josephine Ann) Berry,
57, Lyle, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 29 at Gardners Chapel, White Salmon.
The Rev. Clare D. Brown officiated. Burial was at Balch Cemetery.
Bearers were Floyd Cooper, Leonard Jerycke, Charles Service,
James Curl, Lester Shigley and John Lyons.
Mrs. Berry was born March 17, 1906 in Toppenish and has
lived in Lyle for three years. Prior to that she was a resident of Portland,
Ore. She died Wednesday, July 24, 1963 at Skyline Hospital, White Salmon.
She is survived by her widower, Robert Berry of Lyle
whom she married on Nov. 19, 1956 at Vancouver; a son, Ernest Carl Johnson
of Toledo, Ore.; a daughter; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lee Rummer
of Henderson, Nevada and Mrs. Ty Horn of West Linn, Ore.; and a brother,
Master Sgt. Carl A. Brownlee, U.S. Army, Glendale, Arizona.
