JULIA A. CRAWFORD
Julie A. Decious was born in the state of Ohio, January
27, 1839. She was married to William N. Crawford at Susanville, California.
To this union six children were born, three of whom survive. In 1877 she
came with her husband to Klickitat county, Washington, taking up a homestead
near Grand Dalles, where she made her home until the death of her husband
in 1907. Since then her home was with her children.
She passed away at the home of her daughter near Blockhouse,
October 12th, 1928, at age of 89 years, 8 months and 15 days.
The following children survive: John Crawford, Grand Dalles
of Wn.; William Crawford, The Dalles, Ore.; Mrs. Minnie Saxton, Blockhouse,
Wash., nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The funeral was held from the Christian church at
Centerville, Sunday, October 14, Rev. S.C. Eshelman, pastor of the church
officiating. Interment was made in the Grange cemetery at Centerville.
Old pioneers remember Mrs. Crawford as a friendly neighbor
and always glad to assist anyone in difficulties.

Here she made her home until the death of her husband

William Crawford of The Dalles.
Mrs. Minnie Saxton of Blockhouse.
