JACOB CROCKER
The passing of Jacob Crocker this past week recalls the
time that when he was in his full energy of life; foremost in leadership,
and whose word was eagerly listened to on matters of civic affairs.
Mr. Crocker has had many honors in public life bestowed
upon him by his friends and co-workers. These honors, in the way of public
office, were satisfactorily conducted. When Mr. Crocker left this section
for a new business in Oregon, he rather stepped out of public affairs here,
and never made any effort to regain the position when he returned some years
later. His has been a busy life with plenty of hard work along with his play.
He has had the friendship and respect of many, and that is one of the great
accomplishments of this life.
