JACQUELYN SMITH
Jacquelyn D. Smith, 66, of Enterprise died Jan. 1 at
her home. The funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Bollman Funeral Home,
315 W. Main St. in Enterprise.
Mrs. Smith was born April 14, 1937, to Harold and Maude
VanBiber Aycock in Baker City. She attended school in Wallowa and in The
Dalles.
She worked as a model and dance instructor in Portland
and as an office manager for U-Haul in Seattle for many years. She was a
deputy sheriff in Baker County for a time and on July 17, 1979, she married
Larry Smith in Baker City. The couple ranched on the Burnt River where they
were members of the Burnt River Community Church.
Survivors include her husband of Enterprise; children
and their spouses, Kyanne, Mike and Anna Clark of Baker City, Lee and Melonie
Clark of Livermore, Calif., Hal and Lynn of Manteca, Calif., and Miles and
Becky Smith of McKinleyville, Calif.; many grandchildren; and a sister, Patty
Simpson.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Arthritis
Foundation in care of Bollman Funeral Home.

Jacquelyn D. Smith, 66, of Enterprise, and a former Baker
City resident, died Jan. 1, 2004, at her home.
Her funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Boliman Funeral
Home in Enterprise. Interment will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Lyle Cemetery
in Lyle, Wash.
Jackie was born on April 14, 1937, in Baker City to Harold
and Maude VanBiber Aycock. She attended school in Wallowa and The Dalles.
She was very active in school activities and was a song leader for the Cougars.
She was a model and dance instructor while living in Portland.
She worked as an office manager for the U-Haul Company
in Seattle for many years. She also worked as a deputy sheriff in Baker County.
She married Larry Smith in Baker City on July 17, 1979. She ranched with
her husband on the Burnt River, where they ran a cow-calf operation. They
were longtime members of the Burnt River Community Church.
Jackie is survived by her husband, Larry, of Enterprise;
her sister, Patty Simpson, and niece, Kyanne; Sons and daughters-in-law,
Mike and Anna Clark of Baker City, Lee and Melonie Clark of Livermore, Calif.,
Hal and Lynn of Manteca, Calif., and Miles and Becky Smith of McKinleyville,
Calif.; and many grandchildren.

Jacquelyn "Jackie" D. Smith, 66, of Enterprise, died
at home Jan. 1, 2004. She was born in Baker City on April 14, 1937 to Harold
and Maude (Van Biber) Aycock.
Mrs. Smith attended schools in The Dalles and Wallowa,
where she was very active in activities and a song leader for the Cougars.
After finishing school, she worked as a model and dance instructor in Portland,
office manager for U-Haul in Seattle, Wash., and a deputy sheriff in Baker
County. After marrying in 1979 she helped her husband, Larry Smith, run a
cow-calf operation on the Burnt River. She was a long time member of the
Burnt River Community Church.
Survivors include her husband, Larry of Enterprise; sons
and daughters-in-law Mike and Anna Clark of Baker City, Lee and Melonie Clark
of Livermore, Calif., Hal and Lynn Clark of Manteca, Calif., and Miles and
Becky Smith of McKinleyvile, Calif.; sister Patty Simpson; niece Kyanne;
and many grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 9, at 2 p.m.,
at the Bollman Funeral Home in Enterprise with interment to follow at the
Lyle Cemetery in Lyle, Wash. on Saturday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m.
