The Klickitat County Agriculturist, Goldendale, WA., November 14, 1908, page 1
"Klickitat Intelligence"

Jane Wallis was born in the State of Tennessee, January 28, 1840. She was married to William H. Hale, in the state of Missouri. To their union were born six children, two boys and four girls, and all of are residents of Klickitat county. Since the death of her husband, which occurred about three years ago last June, she has made her home with her daughter, Annie, in Goldendale. She professed a hope in Christ some 22 or 23 years ago and some years afterwards united with the First Baptist church of Spring Creek, of which she was a member at the time of her death. Her health had been quite poor for a number of years and at time it was thought she could not survive. She was fully consecrated in the Lord's will, and she was just wanting the Lord's time. She was a faithful, true Christian. While we shall miss her here on the earth it is her eternal gain. She died at her home in Goldendale, Nov. 4, 1908, the funeral services being conducted at the house by Elder J.E. Adams, after which the body was taken to the Spring Creek cemetery for burial.
