Was One Of First Finnish Settlers In This Vicinity; Laid To Rest At
Centerville

Jacob Lowery was born in Finland, October 15, 1845. In
his early teens he went to Norway and in 1873 came to Hancock, Mich.. He
moved to Klickitat county with the first colony of Finnish pioneers in 1877.
On March 22, 1890 he married Kreeta Lehto at Centerville,
Wash. To that union were born six children, of which four are living. William,
of Longview; Emil of Centerville, Mrs. Wilbert Crocker and Mrs. Wm. Ahola,
both of Centerville. There are five grandchildren and one great grandson.
He also leaves two sisters in Finland to mourn his death.
He was an active member of the Finnish Lutheran Church of Centerville.

TRIBUTE PAID TO LATE JACOB LOWERY SUNDAY
Everyone from here paid their last tribute to the late Jacob Lowery of Centerville whose funeral was held Sunday.
