PNEUMONIA VICTIM INTERRED WEDNESDAY

     Funeral rites for John Allan Mattson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Mattson of this locality, were conducted last Wednesday afternoon, July 21, from the Chapman chapel with Rev. S.C. Eshelman officiating.
     The deceased boy was born March 25, 1931 in Goldendale and died in Goldendale July 18, at the age of six years, three months and 23 days. He was the victim of double pneumonia, resulting from a cold contracted while at play.
     He leaves his father and mother and a brother, Duane.
     Interment of the boy's remains was made in the Centerville grange cemetery following the Goldendale service.

JOHN MATTSON, 6, DIES; SERVICES WED.
Son of Mrs. and Mrs. Ivan Mattson Victim of Pneumonia; Death Comes Sunday

     John Mattson, 6-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Mattson of this community, passed away Sunday following a siege of double-pneumonia. He had contracted a severe cold and the more serious ailment followed.
     Services for the lad were conducted from Chapman's chapel with Rev. S.C. Eshelman of Centerville officiating.
