"Local News"
James Murray, one of the pioneer residents of the Glenwood section, died on April 5th at the age of 79 years and three months. He was born in Louisa county, Iowa, January 5, 1846. He crossed the plains in 1852, and was married to Jane Thornton November 11, 1866. To this union were born seven children, of which six are still living. He came to Klickitat county 45 years ago, where he has since resided.

Grampa Murray passed away Sunday afternoon, after a long and confining illness. The funeral services were held Tuesday. He is survived by his wife and six children, Frank, Ed and Riley, all of Camas Prairie; Mrs. Joe Hylton of Laurel; Mrs. Staack of Lyle; and Miss Nora, of Glenwood. It is with regret that friends and neighbors view this passing of another Klickitat pioneer. Sincere sympathy is extended to the relatives in their bereavement.
