JACK SHULTZ
Jack Schultz, 72, a resident of Goldendale, died at his
home on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001.
He was born Feb. 26, 1928, in Herronton, Wash., to Jake
and Lucille Schultz.
He graduated from Mabton (Wash.) High School and served
in the U.S. Air Force from 1946 through 1949.
He and Maryal Cimmiyotti were married on June 26, 1952,
in Goldendale. He was employed by J. Neils Lumber and the family lived in
Glenwood for 11 years, moving to Klickitat in 1963.
He retired from Champion Lumber as personnel manager
at the mill in 1986.
They moved to Yuma, Ariz., after retirement and later
to Ridgefield, Wash., returning to Goldendale in October 2000.
He enjoyed playing poker, fishing and riding his bike.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed going to coffee each morning.
Survivors include his wife, Maryal, of Goldendale; two
daughters, Mrs. Don (Kathy) Norton, Klickitat; and Maria Grycko, Portland;
two sons and their spouses, Ron and Yvette Schultz, Klickitat; and Craig
and Shirley Schultz, Clackamas; grandchildren, Jackie, Dennis and Kevin Norton,
Adam and Julie Schultz, Bryan and Debbie Fakesch, and Nikki, Tyler and Kaeley
Schultz; a brother; Elmer Schultz, Mabton; and a sister, Helen Carrell, Prosser.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, at
1 p.m. at the Klickitat School gym with Pastor Ron Roberts and the White
Salmon Elks Lodge officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Jack Schultz Memorial
Scholarship Fund at Klickitat High School.

While in Klickitat, Jack served on the school board,
was on a bowling league, and thoroughly enjoyed his job with the St. Regis
Paper Co. They moved to Yuma, Ariz. after retirement and later to Ridgefield,
returning to Goldendale in October of last year.
