JACK B. ACKLEY SERVICES TO BE FRIDAY AUG. 18
Jack B. Ackley who died on August 12, 1967 as the result
of a one car accident, was born in White Salmon on June 28, 1935.
He was employed by the Hegewald Timber Co. of Stevenson,
Wash.
Surviving family are as follows: 3 daughters, Lila Mae,
7, Nancy Lee, 6, Nadine Y., 5; 1 son, Jack B., 1; 3 brothers, Earl of Hood
River, Delbert of Springfield, Oregon, Lee of Stevenson; and his parents
Mr. and Mrs. Claude Ackley of Bingen. His wife, Bernice, preceded him in
death four months ago in an auto accident.
Services will be held Friday morning, August 18, at 10:30
o'clock in Gardner's Chapel with Rev. Alfred Waln officiating. Interment
will be at the White Salmon Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Ronald Bennett, Walter (Pete) Chappel,
Millard Tresenriter, Melvin Prine, Ray Chambers and Lyman Soloman.

JACK ACKLEY FUNERAL FRIDAY
Jack Ackley, 32, of Rt. 1, Stevenson was killed in an
automobile accident one mile west of the Hood River bridge on Highway 830,
on Saturday August 12.
Survivors include three daughters, Lila Mae, Nancy Lee
and Nadine Y.; a son, Jack B.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Ackley of
Bingen; three brothers, Earl of Hood River, Delbert of Springfield, Ore.;
and Lee of Stevenson.
He was born June 28, 1935 in White Salmon. He was employed
by Hegewald Timber Company. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles,
No. 2150.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 18, at 10:30
a.m. at Gardner's Chapel in White Salmon, with Rev. Alfred Waln in charge.
Burial will be in Goodwill Cemetery at White Salmon.
Casketbearers will be Ronald Bennett, Walter (Pete) Chappel,
Millard Tressenniter, Melvin Prine, Ray Chambers and Lyman Solomon.

JACK B. ACKLEY DIES IN CRASH
Jack Ackley, 32, of Rt. 1, Box 98A, Stevenson, was killed
in an auto accident Saturday August 12 about one mile west of White Salmon
on Highway 830.
He apparently ran off the road, was thrown from the car
and died instantly, according to the Washington State Patrol.
His wife also met death earlier this year in an auto
accident near where Mr. Ackley was killed.
Funeral services will held at Gardner's Funeral
Chapel in White Salmon, Friday morning (today) at 10:30 o'clock. The Rev.
Alfred Waln of the Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be at
White Salmon.
Mr. Ackley was employed by the Hegewald Timber Co. He
was born June 28, 1935 in White Salmon.
He is survived by three daughters, Lila Mae, 7, Nancy
Lee, 6, and Nadine, 5; and a son, Jack B., 2; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude
Ackley of Bingen; and three brothers, Earl of Hood River, Delbert of Springfield,
Oregon, and Lee of Stevenson.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge
No. 2150 of Hood River. Mr. ackley was married at Underwood July 18, 1958.
