DEATH SUMMONS JOE BARTULES

     Rosary for Joseph Bartules, 81, resident of Bingen for the past eight years, was read at Gardner's Chapel, White Salmon, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 26.
     Requiem mass was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 27 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with Fr. John Shaw officiating.
     Burial was in Goodwill Cemetery, White Salmon. Bearers were of John DeWalt, Clyde Dillon, Chester Hopkins, Upton Fuller, Mike Walker and Clarence Johnson.
     Mr. Bartules was born on March 19, 1892 in Lithuania. He was a naturalized citizen. Before moving to Bingen he worked 18 years as a filterman for Crown Zellerbach Paper Mill at the Aberdeen. He died Saturday, March 23 in Vancouver.
     He is survived by his widow Grace of Bingen.

JOSEPH BARTULES CITIZEN, PASSES

      Joseph Bartules was born March 19, 1892 in the Republic of Lithuania. He was a naturalized citizen of the United States and had lived in Bingen, Washington eight years before he passed away March 23rd at Vancouver, Washington. Before moving to Bingen, he worked for Crown Zellerbach paper mill at the Aberdeen, Washington for eighteen years as a filterman.
     Rosary was held March 26th at 7:30 p.m. at Gardner's Chapel. Requiem Mass was said Wednesday, March 27th at St. Joseph's church, Father Shaw officiating. Interment was at Goodwill Cemetery.
