JOHN MILBERGER DIES FOLLOWING CLIFF ACCIDENT
John Charles Milberger was born January 7, 1951 in White
Salmon, Washington to Donald and Shirley Milberger. Following an accident
he passed away June 2nd at Providence Hospital in Portland, Oregon at the
age of seventeen.
He attended school at Appleton and then at Lyle, Washington
where he was a high school student.
Surviving him are his parents: Donald and Shirley Milberger;
his brother, Robert and sisters, Sandy, Sue and Cheryl, all of Appleton,
Washington. His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Milberger, Mr. and Mrs. Charles
R. Lainhart of White Salmon and a great grandmother, Mrs. Millie C. Murray
of Portland and numerous aunts and uncles all survive.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, June 6th, at 1:30 p.m.,
at Gardner's Chapel in White Salmon, Washington. Interment will be in the
Appleton Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Peeler of the Klickitat Valley Baptist
Church will officiate.

JOHN MILBERGER INJURIES FATAL
John Charles Milberger, 17, Appleton died June 2 at
Providence Hospital in Portland as the result of injuries received in an
accidental fall from a cliff near Klickitat May 30.
He is survived by his parents, Donald and Shirley Milberger;
a brother, Robert; three sisters, Sandy, Sue and Cheryl, all of Appleton,
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lainhart of White Salmon and Mr. and Mrs.
J.E. Milberger of Appleton; and a great-grandmother, Mrs. Millie C. Murray
of Portland and numerous uncles and aunts.
Funeral services were Tuesday June 6 at 1:30 p.m at Gardners
Funeral Chapel in White Salmon, with burial in the Appleton Cemetery. The
Rev. Robert Peeler of the Klickitat Valley Baptist Church officiated.
Casket bearers were Billie Joe Kessinger, Jim Payne,
Dave Marlowe, Bill Nickols and Jerry Tennyson and Danny Emerson.
John was born January 7, 1950 in White Salmon. He attended
school at Appleton and at Lyle High School.

MILBERGER YOUTH DIES OF INJURIES
John Milberger, 17, of Appleton died Friday in Providence
Hospital in Portland of injuries sustained in a fall off a 60 foot cliff
near Klickitat last Thursday evening.
Funeral services were held at the Gardner Funeral Home
in White Salmon Tuesday. He was the son of Mr. and mrs. Don Millberger.
Sheriff E.C. Kaiser said that Don Millberger had talked
to his son after the accident and reported that John told him that he had
slipped off the cliff accidentally.

Appleton was hit by sorrow when one of the local boys, John Milberger, fell from the cliff west of Klickitat. He was taken to the Klickitat Valley Hospital, then transferred to the Portland Providence Hospital Wednesday. He died Friday evening. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Milberger and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Milberger. Appleton residents extend their heartfelt sympathy to the Milberger family.
