J.C. WARNER, TROUT LAKE RESIDENT, CALLED
John C. Warner, of Trout Lake, died at the Emanuel hospital
in Portland Tuesday, at the age of 86 years, 5 months, and 13 days. He was
born in Delta, Canada. He moved to Michigan at the age of 16 and then west
to North Dakota in 1880. After a few years, in 1920, he came west to Long
Beach, Wash., where he lived six years before coming to Laurel. Five years
later, in 1914, he went to Trout Lake. He was married to Rose E. McElroy
in August 1884. Twelve children were born to them. The 7 still living are:
Mrs. Edith Wilson, of Long Beach, Calif.; James D. Warner, of Idaho Falls,
Ida.; Mrs. Bernice Montgomery, of Aurora, Ore.; Dewey Warner of Trout Lake;
Mrs. Dollie Schmid of Trout Lake; Eugene B. Warner of Portland and John C.
Warner Jr., of The Dalles.
The funeral was in charge of Gardner's Funeral Service,
Rev. George Good of Trout Lake preaching the service. The remains were laid
to rest in the Trout Lake cemetery.
