JETTIE TAYLOR RITES HELD AT THE DALLES
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Smith
Callaway Chapel, the Rev. Myron Hall officiating, for Jettie Ann Dean Taylor,
65, of The Dalles, who died Sunday morning after a sudden illness. She was
the mother of Mrs. Ray Linden.
Mrs. Taylor was born April 18, 1896, at Cross Town, Mo.,
and as a child moved to the Goldendale area with their parents. She lived
there and in the Lyle area for nearly a half-century and was a Dalles resident
the past fifteen years.
Surviving are the widower Dr. J.L. Taylor, The Dalles;
four daughters, Mrs. Inez Edmiston and Mrs. Betty McClain, both of The Dalles,
Mrs. Berniece Johnson of Eureka, Calif., and Mrs. Dorothy Linden of Goldendale;
four sons, Marvin Dean in California, Samuel Dean of Sunnyvale, Calif., Donald
Dean of The Dalles and Orman H. Dean of Portland; her mother, Mary E. Course
of Lyle; a brother, Walter E. Course of Long Beach, Calif.; and a sister,
Mrs. Stella McNabb of Lyle.
She also leaves two step-sons, Howard Taylor in Porter
Rico and Ray Taylor of Medford; five step-daughters, Grace Adams of The Dalles,
Marguerite Stevens of Veneta, Calif., Sister Grace of Mt. Angel and Hazel
Knapper and Eunice Kruse, both of Portland; 25 grandchildren, 13 great
grandchildren and 22 in step-grandchildren.
Interment was in Spring Creek cemetery, at 4 p.m. Pallbearers
were Harry Moore, Andy Taylor, Clyde Bruner, Harry Bruner, Jack Blinn, Al
Jacroux.
