JAMES E. CAHILL
James E. Cahill, 88, of Goldendale, passed away at his
home on November 8, 1996.
He was born at Kuhn, Eastern Klickitat County to Edward
Thomas and Anna Kuhn Cahill. At the age of 4, the family moved to Goldendale
where James attended schools, graduating from Goldendale High School. He
was a sheep shearer, carpenter and electrician, building new and upgrading
houses in eastern Washington.
Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1941 through 1944 when
he was discharged with a disability. He later married June McClasky.
Jim was a member of the Catholic Church, the American
Legion Post #116 in Goldendale, and a life member of the Disabled American
Veterans.
He was preceded in death by his wife June, three brothers
and three sisters.
Jim is survived by one son, Brian of Goldendale; one
step-son, Fred McClasky and one step-daughter, Linda Johnson, both of Leavenworth
and two brothers, Martin and Bob Cahill of Goldendale.
Graveside services were held on Nov. 13 at Holy Trinity
Catholic Cemetery with Father Thomas V. Lane officiating. Military honors
were conducted by Louis Leidl Post #116 American Legion. Arrangements were
under the care of Erdman Funeral Home.
