MRS. JOHN HASTON, 26-YEAR RESIDENT, PASSES AT HOME
Mrs. Jessie Lamb Haston, 68, wife of John Haston, Knight's
Bridge road farmer, died Saturday evening at her home. She had been ailing
for some time. She had lived in Canby since 1940, the year after her marriage
to Mr. Haston.
Funeral services were Tuesday morning in the Canby chapel
of Everhart & Kent. The Rev. Harold Dunson of Canby Christian church
officiating. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in White Salmon,
Wash.
Mrs. Haston was a native of Glossip, England, born Feb.
12, 1898. She was seven years old when she migrated to canada, from which
she came to the United States in 1924. She had lived in Portland, at White
Salmon, Wash., and at Molalla before coming to Canby.
Surviving are the widower, John Haston, and six
step-children, Mrs. Eileen Fisher of Portland, Carl Haston of Stratford,
Conn., Robert Haston of Castro Valley, Calif., Donald Haston of Newberg,
John H. Haston of Dilley, Ore., and Richard Haston of Milwaukie, formerly
of Canby.
