JULIA EMMA MUENDER
Julia Emma Muender was born on February 13, 1871, and
departed from this world December 16, 1948. She was 77 years, 10 months old.
She was born on a farm near Montfort, Wisconsin, and spent her young girlhood
there.
She became a teacher at the age of 17, her first school
being her home school. She was a successful teacher, teaching for 28 years
in the public schools of Wisconsin.
She moved to Washington, settling in White Salmon in
1944 when the home was broken by the death of a brother and sister.
Her survivors include a sister, Charlotte Muender of White
Salmon, and several nieces and nephews, most of who live out of the
state.
Services were held Sunday, December 19th at Gardner's
Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. with Rev. George officiating. Committal services
followed in the White Salmon Odd Fellow Cemetery.
