JAY E. ROBBINS
Jay E. Robbins of Bingen died April 27 at Skyline Hospital
in White Salmon. He was 72.
He was born July 14, 1915 to Pugh and Margaret (McCuistion)
Robbins at Trout Lake, where he was raised. He married Delia G. Agner on
Nov. 7, 1940 in White Salmon. Mr. Robbins was a logger most of his life and
worked for numerous local logging companies before his retirement in 1978.
He moved to Bingen last year after his health failed. He loved to fish and
hunt and be outdoors.
Mr. Robbins is survived by his wife, Delia of Bingen;
daughter Lorraine Holtmann of Underwood; brothers, Marian of Hoodsport, Wash.,
Olin of Vernonia, Ore., Ernest of Vancouver, Wash., and Raymond of Pendleton,
Ore,; sisters Nellie Banta of Washougal, Dorothy McQueen of Grass Valley,
Calif., Floss McCray of Vancouver, Wash., and Lou Karstens of Camas; grandson
Jay Holtmann of Underwood; granddaughter Rebecca Woosley of Hood River; and
great granddaughter Adrienne Woosley of Hood River.
Services for Mr. Robbins were held Saturday, April 30,
in the chapel of Gardner Funeral Home, White Salmon, which was in charge
of arrangements. Rev. Dave Garrison officiated. Interment followed in White
Salmon Cemetery.

Society.
