JOHN SALSMAN
John Edward Salsman, a resident of Lyle for the last
two years, died in Lyle at the age of 62.
Mr. Salsman was born March 2, 1920, in Ironton, Missouri,
to Mr. and Mrs. John Salsman. In 1964, he married Fern Nelson Magnuson.
He was a retired air frame mechanic with the U.S. Navy,
Civil Service. He was also a sheet metal school graduate and had earned a
refrigeration certificate. He was a member of the Lyle Full Gospel Assembly
and a veteran of World War II. He enjoyed fishing and was an excellent bowler.
Mr. Salsman is survived by his wife, Fern; children,
Shirley Lisciarelli, Sharon Gibson and David Salsman, all of Phoenix, Ariz.;
grandchildren, Christian, Jennifer, Julie and Michael; a second family, Leo
and Eva, Myrtle and Ted, Eileen and Walt and eight grandchildren; two brothers,
Jim and George Salsman, both of the St. Louis, Mo.; a sister, Georgia Layton,
Sacramento, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Salsman were held Wednesday
at 10 a.m. at Lyle Full Gospel Assembly Church with Rev. Les Haarstad
officiating. Interment was at Balch Cemetery, Lyle.
