B.Z. CORNERS MAN KILLED SATURDAY IN CAR COLLISION

      B.Z. CORNERS, Nov. 18. - (Special) - Folks were shocked and saddened to hear of the traffic accident Saturday night of Everett Sanderson family which was fatal to Everett. Mrs. Sanderson and two small children were badly hurt and are in a Vancouver hospital where they were all rushed for treatment. The Sanderson family lived here several years and have many friends who extended their sympathy to the many bereaved relatives.
     Mr. Sanderson was working on a defense job near Vancouver at the time of the accident and was returning home from White Salmon.

E.A SANDERSON DIES FROM AUTO COLLISION

     Everett A. Sanderson, Portland shipyard worker who now lives in Vancouver, died Sunday from the result of an auto collision near Beacon Rock while en route home from a visit with the F.C. Muender family near Husum. Mrs. Sanderson was cut about the face and hands and the baby's eyes were injured by glass. Their other daughter was not hurt. It was reported another car, on the wrong side of a curve, hit the Sanderson car.
     Mrs. Muender went to Vancouver Monday to be with her sister, Mrs. Sanderson, and to attend the funeral.

FUNERAL OF J.E. SANDERSON HELD HERE TUESDAY

     Funeral services for the late James Everett Sanderson were held Tuesday, November 24, at Gardner's funeral chapel in this city with Rev. Reynolds, of the Methodist church, in charge. Interment was in the local I.O.O.F. cemetery.
     Mr. Sanderson was fatally injured in a traffic accident on the Evergreen highway near Beacon Rock on November 15 and passed away in the Vancouver hospital. He is survived by his widow, Jennie V. Sanderson, two children: Charles and Howard; his father, Thurman Sanderson; two sisters: Clara Sanderson and Mrs. Goldie Martin, and a brother, Ernest Sanderson, of Camp Rucker, Alabama.
     Mr. Sanderson was born December 18, 1911, in Keytesville, Missouri and came to Klickitat county in 1936, and was married in October 1937, and had made his home at B.Z. Corners north of White Salmon until recently when he went to work in the shipyards at Vancouver.

JAMES EVERETT SANDERSON

     Funeral services for James Everett Sanderson, who died November 15 in Vancouver as a result of an automobile accident, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Gardner funeral home with Rev. J.W. Reynolds in charge.
     He was born December 18, 1911 in Missouri. He came to Klickitat county and was married to Jennie Whaley in October 1937.
     Surviving him are his wife, Jennie and two children, two sisters and a brother Ernest in Alabama. He also leaves a host of friends and other relatives in the Husum area.
     Mrs. Roy Cain sang two solos during the services.

AUTO CRASH PROVES FATAL TO COUNTY MAN

     Four accidents, one of them resulting in the death of James Everett Sanderson, 31, of Vancouver rt. 1, sent six persons to the hospital this week-and, one of the accidents occurring on the Fourth Plain road and the other, involving a Kaiser shipyard employee and his family, taking place 16 miles east of Washougal, according to a state patrol report.
     Sanderson was driving with his family to Husum, Wn., Saturday afternoon when his car and a car driven by Ernest W. Look, 707 Columbia, Hood River, Ore., crashed head-on, the state patrol report indicated.

Succumbs Saturday

     Sanderson died yesterday at St. Joseph's hospital, where he was rushed with his wife and son Howard, who were also injured in the accident. Hospital attendants said their condition today is good. Look, driver of the other car, is being held in the Skamania county jail, according to the state patrol report.
     Escaping miraculously after being dragged 210 feet when struck by an auto driven by a R.A. Stevens of route 2, 62-year-old W.J. Cooley, 807 King st., was not seriously injured, and his condition today is favorable, hospital attendants at St. Joseph's reported today.

Pedestrians Hit

     John Mitten of Brush Prairie was in St. Joseph's hospital today, his condition favorable after suffering a leg fracture when struck by a car driven by E.C. Potts of route 4 on the Fourth Plain road Saturday, according to another report in the police department.
     Ralph E. Salsbury, 34, 1154 Ogden Meadows, was rushed to St. Joseph's hospital yesterday after he had been struck by an automobile driven by Forrest Bott, 17, 1553 Ogden Meadows, on the Fourth Plain road according to a report in the sheriff's office. The report indicated that Salsbury had been walking east with the traffic with Judson Ackley, also of Ogden Meadows, when Bott swerved, trying to miss Salsbury, side-swiped a car driven by George Harrell of 126 Ogden Meadows, and bounced back, hitting Salsbury. His condition was reported favorable today, and attendants said he had suffered bruises and cuts about the face.
     Sanderson, the only fatality of the weekend's accident victims, is survived by his widow, Genevieve; one daughter, Charlene; one son, Howard; his father, Thurman Sanderson of Husum; a sister, Mrs. Goldie Martin of White Salmon, and a brother in the Army. The body was taken to Hamilton's Funeral home pending funeral arrangements.
