RITES HELD FOR HARTLAND PIONEER

     John F. Berry, 70, pioneer resident of the High Prairie community, died in Raymond, Wash., March 30 at the home of his son Norman. Funeral services were held in The Dalles with burial at the Lone Pine cemetery on High Prairie, April 1.
     Mr. Berry resided in the High Prairie community from 1885 to 1903. He was born in Ohio and came to Washington with his parents in 1885. He was married to Miss Grace Parshall. Mrs. Berry preceded him in death in 1907.
     Mr. Berry moved to The Dalles in 1903. He is survived by two sons, Norman, of Raymond, and Loyd, of Portland. One brother, Albert Perry, resides in Ellensburg.
