MAN FOUND DEAD FRIDAY EVENING

John Francis Estes, also known as John Smith in the Roosevelt community where he had lived the past four years, was found dead in his sleeping bag at the trailer house he occupied with Henry George, according to report by the sheriff.
The deceased, estimated to be in his 60s, apparently died from natural causes, according to the report. He was found by Nels Nygaard and Ole Van Nostern Friday evening, they said. The body was brought to Goldendale by Knosher ambulance.
Efforts to locate relatives of the dead man had not been successful by midweek. Queries to Mt. St. Michaels at Spokane, and law enforcement agencies at Hartland, N.D., addresses found in his effects, failed to reveal any information of assistance.
