JUNE HUNSAKER
June Hunsaker, a longtime White Salmon resident, died
Dec. 18, 1995, at her home in White Salmon, at the age of 78.
Mrs. Hunsaker was born Sept. 26, 1917, in Zillah, to
Mabel (Harper) and Robert F. Hill. She was raised in Zillah and graduated
from high school there. She married George L. Hunsaker in Prosser on Dec.
5, 1938, and then they moved to White Salmon. She was a homemaker and
concentrated on raising her family. He preceded her in death in 1979.
Mrs. Hunsaker was a member of the United Methodist Church
and past member of the Emblem Club. She loved to play with her grandchildren
and enjoyed playing cards. She was an immaculate housekeeper.
Mrs. Hunsaker is survived by her sons David Hunsaker,
White Salmon, and Rickey Hunsaker, Auburn; brother Glenn Hill, Woodinville;
sister Dorothy Wilson, Ocean Park; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren
and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers
and sisters.
Graveside services for Mrs. Hunsaker were held Friday,
Dec. 22, 1995, at 1 p.m. at White Salmon Cemetery, with Rev. Wilhelm Romeijn
officiating.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Gorge in care
of Gardner's Funeral Home, who was in charge of the arrangements.
