"Local Gleanings"
The funeral of James Mulligan occurred at the Catholic church in Centerville, this week Monday, interment following in the Goldendale cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. Fr. Frances. The deceased leaves besides his brother and sisters his parents who sorrow at his untimely demise. He lived in Klickitat and made many close and true friends who were shocked at his sudden death. An obituary of family statistics have thus far not been secured. The funeral at Centerville was attended by many from all parts of the county, a little procession following the remains to their last resting place.

JAMES MULLIGAN
James Mulligan of this county, was killed on March 14th,
in the state of Nebraska. He was on the way to Chicago with a load of sheep,
and another train ran into the sheep train, killing several trainmen besides
Mr. Mulligan. The body was shipped to his home and buried on last Monday
in the Catholic cemetery here, the funeral services being in charge of the
Rev. Father Francis.
James Mulligan was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Mulligan,
of the Centerville country, and came to this county with his parents some
thirty years ago, where he has since resided. He was born in California on
June 22nd, 1878. He leaves a father, mother, seven brothers and four sisters
to mourn his loss, besides hundreds of friends.
