DEATH SUMMONS JENNIE CARTER

     Latter Day Saint services for Mrs. Jennie Carter, 61, White Salmon, were held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 26, at Gardner's funeral chapel. Charles Neilson gave the opening prayer. Bishops Roy Webster of Hood River and Moz Burles of White Salmon officiated.
     Mrs. Kenneth Gardner sang "O My Father" and "Abide With Me". Burial was at the local I.O.O.F. cemetery.
     Mrs. Carter was born Sept. 3, 1893 in Huntington, Utah, the daughter of Jack and Rosella McKee Riley. After the death of her husband, Fred, she moved to White Salmon about eight years ago. She died of uremia Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Skyline hospital after a prolonged illness.
     She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Bill (Bonnie) Henderson of White Salmon and Mrs. Evelyn Olan of San Diego, Calif.; sons, Keith, Blake and Carl Carter, all of Pasco; 15 grandchildren, Marilyn, Joe and Jerry, all of White Salmon, and 12 others; and one sister living in Salt Lake City.
     Pall bearers were Andre and Joe Lamoreaux, Terry Parker, Denny and Sheldon Black and David Claridge.

     Services for Mrs. Jennie Carter of White Salmon, who died Tuesday, Nov. 23 at Skyline hospital, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 26, at Gardner's funeral chapel. Moz Burles, Bishop of the Latter Day Saints church, will officiate. Mrs. Carter's obituary will be published next week, but meanwhile, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Henderson and the Carter families wish to thank their mother's friends and particularly the Skyline staff for the wonderful hospital care given Mrs. Carter during her long illness.
