Funeral services for John Tolonen, 67, who dropped dead in his fishboat on the Columbia river Thursday, will be held from the E.B. Hughes Chapel Monday morning at 10:30, with Rev. E. Torkko officiating. Final rites will be held in Centerville, Wash. Tuesday morning at 10:30.

JOHN TOLONEN IS BURIED TUESDAY
Former Well Known Resident Laid to Rest at Centerville; Lived at Astoria
John Tolonen, 67, formerly of Centerville, died suddenly
while fishing near the mouth of the Columbia river July 10.
Born in Finland April 19, 1869, John Tolonen came to
America when a boy of twenty and settled in Klickitat county where he lived
for several years. Later he moved to Astoria, Oregon, where he was living
at the time of his death. He is survived by four daughters and one son: Mrs.
Roy Crowder of Portland, Ore., Mrs. H. Ashmore and Mrs. Dick Graebner both
of Detroit, Mrs. A.R. Swain of Seattle and Ordie Tolonen of California.
Funeral services were held in Astoria Monday, July 13,
at the E. B. Hughes Chapel by the Rev. Ellis Koven officiating. Committal
services being held the following day in the Centerville Cemetery by the
Rev. S.C. Eshelman.

JOHN TOLONEN LAID TO REST NEAR CENTERVILLE
The remains of the late John Tolonen was brought up from Astoria Tuesday and laid to rest in the Grange cemetery. Mr. Tolonen used to live here and owned the farm now owned by the Gradys.
