DEATH SUMMONS FATHER OF 15
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb.
9, at the Seventh-day Adventist church for Jim Lewis Stephenson, ex-night
watchman at SDS Lumber company. Pastor Paul Gordon will officiate. Burial
will be in the Odd Fellow cemetery.
Mr. Stephenson, resident of White Salmon since 1942,
was born Sept. 21, 1889 in Sunset, Texas. He suffered a heart attack last
January 16 and died at Skyline hospital Feb. 4.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie Beatrice, of White
Salmon and their 15 children:
Sons, Roy, Donald, Kenneth, Virgil and Leo, all of White
Salmon; Herman of Phoenix, Arizona; Wesley of Sunnyside; and in the service,
Ernest of Fort Riley, Kansas and Duane at Fort Bragg, N.C.
And daughters, Ialeta Montgomery, Clorene and Louise
Stephenson, all of White Salmon; Dorothy Donoghue of Sacramento, Calif.;
and in Arizona, Frances Teurman of Casa Grande and June Robinette of Gila
Bend.
