JUANITA L. WILKES

     Juanita L. Wilkes, a Mid-Columbia resident all her life, died Jan. 14 at the age of 63.
     Mrs. Wilkes was born Sept. 59, 1918, in The Dalles to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Richards. She came to White Salmon in 1943 and has lived here ever since.
     Mrs. Wilkes, a retired nurses aide and receptionist, was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
     She is survived by her husband, Orville; one daughter, Donna Butt, Hillview, Newfoundland, Canada; four sons, Kenneth C. Wilkes, White Salmon, Keith R. Wilkes, Adams, Ore., Lee Wilkes, Mill A, and Jim Wilkes, Underwood; two brothers, Elmer Richards, Newberg, Ore., and Bob Dempsey, Portland; two sisters, Bessie Rains, Seattle, and Helen White, Colfax, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren.
     Funeral services for Mrs. Wilkes were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in White Salmon, with Pastor Arthur Davy and Pastor Keith Canwell officiating. Interment will be in White Salmon. Contributions may be made to the Juanita Wilkes Memorial Fund at the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
