JAMES MASSEY IV

     James Madison Massey IV, a lifelong Trout Lake resident, died Dec. 1, 1994, in Trout Lake at the age of 25.
     Mr. Massey was born Aug. 25, 1969, in Hood River, Ore., to Doris (Luth) and James M. Massey III. He grew up in Trout Lake and graduated from Trout Lake High School in 1988 and from Lower Columbia Community College in Longview in 1990. He was active in the high school sports program. He worked for the Department of Natural Resources starting as a crewman and working up to engine foreman.
     Mr. Massey was a member of the Mt. Adams Snowmobile Club and played on the local town sports teams. He liked to hunt, fish and snowmobile. He used his snowmobile for search and rescue missions -- always willing to help. He endured two major heart surgeries at ages six and 21.
     He is survived by his parents, James and Doris Massey, Trout Lake; sister, Julie Massey, Spokane; grandmother, Inez Massey, Holly Cross, Ga.; uncles Bill Massey, Lilburn, Ga., Jerry Massey, Athens, Ga., Robert, Walter and Joe Luth, all of White Salmon; Marvin Luth, Maupin, and Myron Luth, Seaside, Ore.; aunt, Viola Wagner, White Salmon; and numerous cousins and friends.
     Services for Mr. Massey will be held Sunday, Dec. 11, 1994, at 2 p.m. at the Trout Lake School, with Pastor Dick Steward officiating.
     Memorials may be given to the James Massey Memorial Trophy Case, in care of Riverview Savings Bank in White Salmon.

JAMES M. MASSEY IV

     Mr. James Madison Massey, IV, 25, of Trout Lake, passed away December 1, 1994 at Trout Lake, Wash.

     Contributions may be given to James Massey Memorial Trophy Case in care of Trout Lake School.
     Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. with a private burial.
